Akimeka Technologies Awarded $80 Million Contract from USAMRIID
 

HONOLULU, Hawaii – Akimeka Technologies, LLC has been awarded an $80 million, five-year contract to provide research and development and related support services to the U.S. Army Medical Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and various federal research facilities.

Akimeka Technologies and Clinical Research Management, Inc. will partner to provide research and development and support services in support of force health protection. Some of the work will be conducted in maximum containment environments such as biosafety level (BSL)-3 and BSL-4 laboratories.

“We’re proud to have been selected to support such an important mission,” said Philip Kahue, president of Akimeka Technologies. “The work not only expands our capabilities, but also plays an important role in helping protect military personnel and citizens.”

Clinical Research Management is a woman-owned business with offices in Frederick Maryland and Hinckley, Ohio. They are a full-service Contract Research Organization that has been supporting Department of Defense (DOD) biomedical research laboratories for more than 15 years.
