Akimeka Technologies Changes Name to Ke`aki Technologies
|

|
HONOLULU, Hawaii – Akimeka Technologies, LLC, a fast-growing
Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO)–owned 8(a) business, has
changed its name to Ke`aki Technologies, LLC. Ke`aki
Technologies provides mission synchronized solutions for
government and DoD customers in the areas of base and range
operations, biomedical defense support, telecommunications, and
IT services.
According to CEO, Craig Floro, the new
name better reflects the company’s vision and aspirations. “Ke`aki
is a Hawaiian word that means ‘to reach for the top, to reach
for the pinnacle.’ We believe that our new name helps to further
distinguish us as an NHO-owned business and continues to
reinforce our commitment to excellence and to the success of our
customer’s mission.”
The majority owner of Ke`aki Technologies is the Alaka'ina
Foundation, a Native Hawaiian nonprofit corporation whose
activities principally benefit the youth of Hawaii. Ke`aki
Technologies was designated by the Small Business Administration
as an NHO-owned 8(a) in 2005.
